The Bayside Elite Combine is a high-level basketball tryout and athletic testing event used to select the top 64 players per age group for the Bayside Elite Showcase.

Players are evaluated across:

• Athletic testing (vertical jump, agility, sprint speed)

• Skill stations (shooting, ball handling, game IQ)

• Live scrimmages in a competitive environment

• The Bayside Elite Showcase is a two-day basketball tournament offering a 4-game guarantee. The event brings together top-level competition and exposure opportunities for players.

  Players will be coached by state-level and US-connected coaches, gaining valuable insights and training from experienced professionals. The tournament also provides networking opportunities with scouts and influencers, helping players increase their visibility.

  Additionally, game film, in-game action photos, and other professional media coverage will be provided to help showcase each player's performance. This event is designed to give players a platform to develop their skills while competing at a high level.

Players born between September 2005 and December 31, 2013 are eligible.

No — you only attend one session, based on your age group. We’ll assign you to the correct time after you register.

. When and where are tryouts?

Tryouts are on Saturday, July 5 & Sunday July 6th at Various locations.
Exact session times & venues will be by age group and location & sent after registration.

The showcase tournament runs July 18–20 (Fri–Sun) at Stonnington Sports Centre — the final weekend of the school holidays.

How much does it cost?

Tryout registration is $55 AUD.
Players selected for the tournament will receive details on further costs (uniforms, etc.) after team selection.

Selections are based on performance, competitiveness, and potential — not politics or rep team status. We want real hoopers.

Age for the Bayside Elite Showcase will be determined as of the date of the tournament. We have three age groups:

• 12 and Under

  (VJBL u12s & 14s)

• 15 and Under

  (VJBL u16s & bottom age 18s)

• 18 and Under

  (VJBL u20s & top age 18s)
